    Chicago White Sox third-base coach Joey Cora is on a short list of candidates to manage the Puerto Rican team in World Baseball Classic next March.

    ”I’m being considered. That’s as far as I can go with it,” said Cora, a native of Caguas, Puerto Rico. “Right now I have to concentrate on [the World Series].”

    Cora will get some practice managing this winter. When the World Series ends, he’ll fly to Venezuela to manage the winter league team in La Guaira
